New Post!

I haven't posted in 4 months! But I've been pretty busy lately. But no Excuses for me! I'm just lazy :) So I'm painting my trombone case! I'm not even close to done yet, but so far so good. I'm hoping to put up more new posts every day, i have lots of new stuff to post about :) Hooray!

The Hallucinogenic Toreador

So on my trip to Florida I went to the Salvador Dali museum. Let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. Being able to see his work in person was extraordinary. I wasn't able to see his most famous works, but one of them was this, "The Hallucinogenic Toreador" AMAZING. The picture simply doesn't do it justice. I would have taken a picture myself but they didn't allow photography. :P Anyway, one of my favorite things about this painting is the face illusion in the body of the second Venus :) take the time to check that out. BTW, this painting is really big. It's 13x10 feet.

New Phone

Okay, so I really need *want* a new phone. If you've seen mine, you'd probably agree. I mean, it still works, but only for the moment. Besides my 2 year contract with Verizon is up so I get a discount on the new phone I want, which is the HTC Ozone! WOOT. On another note, I just got back from a week long vacation with my aunt and uncle in Florida! I'll have some pictures soon :)

UGH.

Do you wanna know what makes me mad? MARCHING BAND. It's ridiculous. I think it's very physically demanding. And this is coming from someone who did cross country. (Which was total hell by the way). My knees are killing me. My feet feel like they're bruised. My shoulders hurt very badly. They don't let you sit down, and they make everything just way to complicated and difficult. The ONLY reason I'm doing marching band is because I adore plain wind ensemble, and you can't do one with out doing the other. Which is really really dumbtastic. But I always have this guy to rub my feet when I get home from marching ♥

Cut Square Drawing

This is a cut square drawing. I painted the background the outlined it with black sharpie. Then I cut it into 4 pieces and rearranged it and glued it into my sketchbook And added the Catbot that I drew, and I found an old drawing of a robot I never finished, and burned the spot I didn't do and burned other spots of it. I thought it gave a cool effect. But sorry about the glare. The glue I use is super shiny.

Shopping

I went shopping today for the bazillionth time. But I actually found a swimsuit! AT ZUMIES?! Who knew. Anyway, among my shopping my amigo Megan and I went to Macy's and and saw this mannequin. I think its a little funny that the hand was so gracefully placed upon the foot. It's Art!
