Color Inspiration

This is a water color painting. I did the black stringy thingys with black ink and a teeny tiny coffee straw to give it that cool look. I really love this thingy. I really don't know what to call it. But I like it :)
My birthday is in just a few hours. I'm very excited. And fathers day is coming up as well.
ISUJDHFVKSJDFVLISHDF.
That's just a small example of my excitement. :)
I shall be blogging tomorrow when I get to my fathers house probably. And I'll tell you how my birthday is going!

Kitty Cat

This is my kitty. Her name is Chloe and she likes to adventure. One of her most recent adventures is in my game drawer. She found it quite easy to get in, but far less easy to get out. She needed a bit of assistance, but I made her stay just long enough so I could take a picture :) She looks a bit angry. But she's generally a happy kitty.
Tomorrow is my birthday. I'm extremely excited and I might blog again later tonight in order to kill time. :)

"Elsewhere"

I'm normally not the first person to just devour a book, but once I picked this one up I couldn't put it down. It's called "Elsewhere" by Gabrielle Zevin. I must admit, it was sort of a teenage novel, and it was a tiny bit predictable. But it was really good. It was one of my books for fun. The next book I'm going to read is called "Skinny" by Ibi Kaslik. On another note, the day after tomorrow shall be my 16th birthday. And I'm extremely excited. I cannot emphasize that enough. Just ask my mother and my boyfriend. Seriously, the last few days before my birthday, i have moments where I'm a total lunatic. :D

Fathers Day Present

Another less than desirable picture. And now that I think of it this isn't even the finished picture. But regardless, this is a drawing of a shark. My father and I have been talking for quite some time about him getting a tattoo of a shark if I draw it. WELL. Fathers day is coming up you know *cough*on my birthday*cough* and I decided to start drawing the shark so my daddy and I can go get it this Sunday. As sort of a birthday/fathers day sort of thing :)

Alcoholic Robot

I have SOOO many things to blog about! I decided to take a real (not cell phone) camera and take pictures of some sketches and drawings and other stuff going on in m life. So I will have junk to blog about for at least a week and a half. This is a robot I drew last night at like 12:30. I don't know why. It's easy to draw geometric type thingys from imagination. I'm more of a "draw what I see" kind of girl. It's easier for me. I guess. Anyway, this was just a little doodle in my mini sketch book. My goal is to sketch quite a bit this summer. So look forward to seeing quite a few more drawings in the next 3 months :)

Also: I got a better picture for the "No Title" blog. It's worth a look! 3 Days till my birthday :)

Laa Dee Daa

I have nothing to do for the next 5 days! I really want to go to borders and get some good books to read. Not to mention I have to read the scarlet letter for my AP english class next year. Yes, I already have homework for next year. Anywho. I want to actually read for fun. I might do some sketches. I was going to sketch a cool peace sign design for a tattoo I want even though my mom will never let me have it. I'll go behind her back. Yes. That'll work. She'll never notice. I just need to get it in a place where she won't see it...

No picture today

No picture today. No art either really. And you wanna know why? Because today was my last day of school. That's right. It's about time. I finished my art and english final. We didn't do anything in my art final. Which was disappointing. I'll have a picture and something artsy tomorrow. And less than 6 Days till my birthday. FYI.

Trombone

Musical Arts! I just remembered that music is an art as I was writing a paper about J.J. Johnson, an amazing jazz trombonist. I play the trombone. The only wind instrument without buttons! I played from 5th grade to 8th grade, skipped last year/last semester, and rejoined my wind ensemble this semester and I'm totally loving it. I suck again, because silly me, for taking a year and a half off. It's amazing how much a person can forget. I get to bring my trombone home on Monday and I'm going to make it a goal to practice at least a week. Also, I'm going to start marching band in august and I get to wear one of those funny plume hats while playing at football half time! Yay!

Orange Bud Vase

One day I was messing around on the pottery wheel and this is what I made. It's a little bud vase :) Nothing too exciting about it. Just another little piece of art. Since I have only ONE day of school left I shan't be making much more art for the next 3 months or so, but I still have a few more pieces of art to blog about. When I run out of art I might just fill you in on the other little tidbits of my life.
On another note: 9 DAYS TILL MY BIRTHDAY.
Just had to share that :)

Another Landscape

Yet another bad picture of a painting. Explanation: I have but only a cell phone camera. I suppose it's better than nothing. Anyway, this is a landscape I painted this year. I was in a group of 4 people and we each had to do a painting that was related to the others in some way. We all did landscapes at different times of the day. In my opinion i had the best time of day (noon). This was really fun to paint and I can't even explain how many times I re-painted the sky color. But it was a lot. Totally worth it :)

Progress report!

This is about half way done. Needs a lot more detail work, but all and all it's coming along very nicely nice all I started with today was an orange canvas and a vague sketch :) I will definitely have more images of the progress, if I don't finish it tomorrow. And there's a semi-good chance I will. :)
Hooray! That also means I'll have more time to work on all the homework that I'm behind on in my art classes. Hooray!
