Color Inspiration
This is a water color painting. I did the black stringy thingys with black ink and a teeny tiny coffee straw to give it that cool look. I really love this thingy. I really don't know what to call it. But I like it :)

I'm normally not the first person to just devour a book, but once I picked this one up I couldn't put it down. It's called "Elsewhere" by Gabrielle Zevin. I must admit, it was sort of a teenage novel, and it was a tiny bit predictable. But it was really good. It was one of my books for fun. The next book I'm going to read is called "Skinny" by Ibi Kaslik. On another note, the day after tomorrow shall be my 16th birthday. And I'm extremely excited. I cannot emphasize that enough. Just ask my mother and my boyfriend. Seriously, the last few days before my birthday, i have moments where I'm a total lunatic. :D
Another less than desirable picture. And now that I think of it this isn't even the finished picture. But regardless, this is a drawing of a shark. My father and I have been talking for quite some time about him getting a tattoo of a shark if I draw it. WELL. Fathers day is coming up you know *cough*on my birthday*cough* and I decided to start drawing the shark so my daddy and I can go get it this Sunday. As sort of a birthday/fathers day sort of thing :)
I have SOOO many things to blog about! I decided to take a real (not cell phone) camera and take pictures of some sketches and drawings and other stuff going on in m life. So I will have junk to blog about for at least a week and a half. This is a robot I drew last night at like 12:30. I don't know why. It's easy to draw geometric type thingys from imagination. I'm more of a "draw what I see" kind of girl. It's easier for me. I guess. Anyway, this was just a little doodle in my mini sketch book. My goal is to sketch quite a bit this summer. So look forward to seeing quite a few more drawings in the next 3 months :)
Musical Arts! I just remembered that music is an art as I was writing a paper about J.J. Johnson, an amazing jazz trombonist. I play the trombone. The only wind instrument without buttons! I played from 5th grade to 8th grade, skipped last year/last semester, and rejoined my wind ensemble this semester and I'm totally loving it. I suck again, because silly me, for taking a year and a half off. It's amazing how much a person can forget. I get to bring my trombone home on Monday and I'm going to make it a goal to practice at least a week. Also, I'm going to start marching band in august and I get to wear one of those funny plume hats while playing at football half time! Yay!
